Although the property is actually in the heart of the city centre, the shopping street has had its heyday and the beach can only be reached by taxi.

Upon arrival, our host Meinke warmly greeted us inside her private building, which also is the site of an amazing gallery that is curated by Meinke herself. The apartment itself was bright, spacious, and so tastefully furnished. The meticulous selection of furniture paired with wonderful pieces of art, all created by Meinke, made it the ideal home base for our stay in Portimao. This is truly a gem which we will, without hesitation, return to if we visit again.
