Beautiful location, difficult to find if you do not put the coordinates in (provided by the host). The house was amazing - super open and clean. It was about a 15 min walk to the main square- great restaurant (Terra Cotta). About a 30-45 min uber to see more

The pool unfortunately is not heated, however the sauna was great!!

The villa was beautiful and finished to a very high spec for a luxurious stay. The pool area is perfectly laid out with the outdoor dining overlooking a good sized pool. The villa was fully equipped with everything needed and was spotlessly clean. A mid-week clean was thorough, but quick and didn’t disrupt our stay. Ferragudo is a lovely fishing village and a change from the busy big hotel touristy resorts. Portimão is a quick and €5 taxi across the bridge,a water taxi if you want something a bit busier. Lovely restaurants and beach bars in Ferragudo within 15-25 min walk from the villa. It’s a bit hilly so a good test on your legs. The villa area is quiet and fully of top class villas. Highly recommend and loved our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Ferragudo! The property itself was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The location made it easy to explore the area, yet it still felt peaceful and private. A special mention goes to Gonçalo – he is a fantastic host who truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. From clear communication to thoughtful touches and helpful recommendations, nothing was too much trouble. We can’t recommend this villa highly enough and would happily return again. Thank you, Matthijs, for making our trip so memorable! Regards Francis

Clear communication from the beginning of the trip and were kindly allowed early check in on our arrival day. The villa itself is spectacular modern furnishings and amenities throughout that were all in excellent condition. The small apartment next to the main villa allowed the family of four with two children in our party a separate space. Top floor bedroom with the bath was exceptional with three balconies and its own living area. We utilised the barbeque and the pizza oven - the kitchens in the main villa and the apartment are also well equipped. The pool was a real highlight. There is a shallow end, though this does become deep quite quickly when moving across. Ferragudo village is lovely with great restaurants. Quickest walk is approximately 15 minutes, but is up quite a steep hill. We would recommend O Barril and TerraCotta restaurants. Squash restaurant in Praia Da Rocha was exceptional - a taxi ride away from the villa but highly recommended. Overall, a fantastic stay!

The property itself is really stunning and really nicely decorated a real credit to the owners. As mentioned by another reviewer the photos look great but the reality is much better. The Bar and pool area is brilliant with great amenities including comfy lounging, outdoor fridge, BBQ and pizza oven. The living space within the property is spacious and very comfortable. Every bedroom has its own en-suite and private space to relax. The addition of the Annex area is also really wonderful especially for multi familiesfor taking the ‘in laws’. I cannot imagine any one wanting for anything more whilst staying within this property. It also worth mentioning that the property has plenty of amenities to keep everyone entertained no matter the weather. A mention also goes to Boaz Rentals who have been faultless the staff that visited the property such as pool maintenance etc were super friendly and did not interfere at all of the enjoyment of the property. Also we got some fantastic local recommendations. |

The villa was amazing! Well above our expectations. Although the pictures look great, it’s so much bigger in person. When we arrived there was a selection of snacks and drinks available until we could get to the shop which was so lovely after travellsee more
The villa was amazing! Well above our expectations. Although the pictures look great, it’s so much bigger in person. When we arrived there was a selection of snacks and drinks available until we could get to the shop which was so lovely after travelling. We were a party of 9 (5 children) and there was plenty of room. So many board games and things for the kids to enjoy. The large swan was also in the pool (shown in photos) my daughter loved it. Our host arrived within 20mins and showed us around. All UK channels available and streaming services. There is an en-suite and air conditioning in every room. As well as an outdoor toilet which is handy with little ones. The outdoor bar is where we spent most of our time as well as the pool. The pool is much larger than it looks on photos and is deep enough for diving to! The area is lovely and quiet with restaurants and shops a short walk away. Ubers are really cheap as well. Overall we loved our stay and are already thinking about 2025!

We were thrilled with our recent (July 2024) stay at Villa Ayo.
The villa is incredibly spacious – even more so than the photos suggest – with huge rooms, a number of bathrooms and separate toilets (including next to the pool – so no wet footprints back into the house all day), and a large number of different relaxing areas next to the pool & across the various terraces on all levels of the house. It’s modern and stylish, yet also comfortable. We stayed as a family group with a number of different ages, all were very happy – with our older (young adult) children particularly appreciating the separate, self contained apartment, which is itself spacious (with its own lounge, small kitchen, and garden). The pool is a proper, large pool (sometimes photos deceive – not the case here) and enjoyed by all ages. We had truly special dinners at the outside BBQ area. Ferragudo town is lovely and only a short (10 min) walk away, with a wide range of restaurants, cafes and cute shops – getting food was very easy. We did have a car, but taxis and ubers were easily available (including for some of our airport transfers) so you could manage without a car if you wanted to. A large supermarket was only a 3 min drive away. We particularly appreciated the warm welcome from Boaz Rentals, and their swift and clear communication throughout. We also appreciated how well kitted out the house is, with every kitchen item you could need, and a large range of toiletries and towels generously provided in all bathrooms. We enjoyed a number of beach excursions, our favourites being Praia dos Caneiros for the scenery and Praia Grande for the entertainment (kids loved the floating inflatables, we loved Club Nau for two dinners and Kalu Beach bar for fantastic burgers). All very easy. A truly special villa and a wonderful holiday. We hope to return next year. |

Ideally you’d need a rental car to get about – although the local town can be reached on foot and further afield by taxi. The apartment that is within the grounds is completely self contained so an ideal place to go with grandparents etc. Our pool was cleaned regularly, and contact with the host was frequent and very helpful.

The sauna didn’t work but Matthijis responded quickly to the request – unfortunately it only worked for another day despite an engineer coming out. We were sent videos of how to work the bbq and sauna. We really enjoyed staying at the villa and would highly recommend it !
